Who's Your New Teacher Librarian?

So, it seems I'm to be the new librarian at my middle school. After three years of teaching technology, I'm headed for the library. I can't lie and say that I'm not a bit worried about switching to something I have no experience doing, but I'm excited by the prospect of working outside of the normal bounds of the classroom with the whole school and all of the subjects.

Any advice for a novice egghead?
